  • How should I care for my poncho towel to keep it looking great?
All ponchos are made using cloth woven the traditional way from 100% organic Turkish cotton yarn by an artisan in Turkey, Our poncho towels come in a range of colours and patterns and can fade if left in direct sunlight. The tassels on the edge (if you've chosen the With Tassels option) are hand-knotted and can occasionally unravel with wear, just re-tie. Here are a few tips to keep your poncho towels in great condition. 1. Wash your towel before using it for the first time to help the cotton fibers become more absorbent. 2. Use a gentle machine wash at 30 degrees C and avoid using fabric softener as this will decrease absorbency. Your poncho towels will naturally become softer with every wash. 3. To re-knot tassels, simply twist the unraveled threads in a clockwise motion to return to their original state. 4. Lay flat to dry in shade. Prolonged direct sun exposure can fade the colours. 5. Do not bleach Treat it gently like a fine sweater rather than old sweats and your Starfish & Moss towel poncho will last for years to come!
  • Is my poncho reversible?
Yes, our Haast towel ponchos WITHOUT TASSELS, available in the gold and crimson colors from the West Coast Collection, are designed to be reversible.
